Neil Leslie Diamond, born 1941 in Brooklyn, New York, has been involved in music since his teenage years after receiving his first guitar at sixteen. In the early 1960’s he began working more on the lyrical side of music; known for writing such hits as the song “I’m a Believer” which topped the charts for the band The Monkees in 1967.
His ability to write lyrics served him well for quite some time and earned him even more recognition as a hired songwriter with each hit that was recorded by others. Finally, being able to put both lyrics and music to work for himself and his own production company, Neil Diamond became one of the top-selling performers in the 70’s.
With a career spanning well over forty years, Neil Diamond’s talents speak for themselves, and to every fan that has closely followed all of his work. They are highly devoted to this brilliant musician, as much as he is to them.
